We're adding a team challenge to this year's 5 Mile Classic to allow your company or organization to challenge other companies or similar organizations to a friendly competition to encourage fitness and demonstrate their support of Ft. Bragg's Wounded Warriors.

Team Categories

Current team categories are as follows:

• JROTC (Army, Air Force, & Navy)
• ROTC (Army, Air Force, & Navy)
• ECU Student Organizations
• ECU Faculty Organizations  (to include colleges and departments)
• Corporate

If you would like to suggest an additional category, please contact us at pirates@woundedwarriorrun.com with your recommendation.

Team Registration

To register your team for one of the Team Challenge categories, ensure all members are registered individually for the 5 Mile Classic and then download the team registration form and e-mail the completed form to pirates@woundedwarriorrun.com or deliver to 204 Christenbury by October 15, 2009.  There is no additional cost for team registration.

Team Composition

Each team will consist of at least three and no more than five members.  Only company employees, registered organization members, and employees and organization members immediate family members may compete on company and organization teams.

Each member must register individually for the 5 Mile Classic and the designated team captain is responsible for ensuring all members meet the team membership criteria outlined above.

Scoring

The times for the top three finishers on each team will be totaled and the fastest total time will be declared the winner.

Awards

Winning teams in categories that have at least three team entries will be recognized at the awards ceremony and each member will receive a trophy.
